5Type of Aegean ship of half-round shape using both sail and oars, whose size must have been between ten and thirty meters according to various depictions that have been discovered and above all the wall painting of the so called Western House at the Akrotiri settlement (Santorini).

Similar vessels are also located in Egyptian and Minoan depictions that provide evidence on the trade and intercultural exchanges among these people and the Cyclades residents and thus the ability of these ships to sail in open sea.
