MARIE JEANNE

It is one of the best-known and beautiful tone fishing ships in the Mediterranean and in the Atlantic, which was ported in Concarneu of Northern France.

mariejeanneIt was built in 1908 and was permanently put out of seas in 1953 having a length of 19,30 meters and breadth of 5,70 meters.

It was always moved based on sails in contradistinction to other vessels of the same type that replaced their sails to machine equipment.

It is probable that during World War Two it supplied the Allies with information regarding the activity mainly of the German submarines, but yet this argument cannot be so far verified based on reliable evidence.

A copy of the same ship exists also in the nautical museum in Paris.
